Ubisoft chiude l’ufficio di Milano, ma Ubisoft Milan resta aperto thumbnail

Ubisoft closes the Milan office, but Ubisoft Milan remains open

Ubisoft is reorganizing its offices in Europe and as part of the process it has closed its branch in Milan. However, the maneuver is unrelated to Ubisoft Milan, the Italian division of the company, which therefore remains operational.

Ubisoft closes the Milan branch

Specifically, the Milan branch concerned is the one located in Assago, which deals with the marketing & distribution of Ubisoft titles. Wired reports that the office in question has 14 employees, all of whom were laid off as a result of the reorganization.

“Ubisoft’s Publishing division is working on a reorganization of its European subsidiaries,” the company said in a press release. “This is an ongoing process and we have no further details to share at this stage. Please note that as part of Ubisoft’s development arm, Ubisoft Milan is not involved in this reorganisation.”

Meanwhile, internationally, Ubisoft is trying to optimize the already dilated times for future outgoing games. In early January the company announced a further delay of Skull & Bones, which was due out in March. Last month the game was definitively pushed back to 2024, but it still fared better than four other permanently canceled titles.
