The new Valorant map has brought a breath of fresh air to the game, and is arguably one of the most unique modes ever seen in the game.. In fact, the map, called Fracture and structured in the form of a giant H, forces players to change their style of play, through an acute management of spawn points. While it sounds like a minor change, it’s a major paradigm shift for the game.
Valorant: here is the new Fracture map
Fracture has the shape of a giant “H”, as we said at the beginning. On the map there are two bombs connected to each other by a horizontal line. The twist put in place by the developers is the player spawn point. In Fracture, in fact, the defenders start in the middle, and are forced to leave the spawn area to defend the bombs on both sides.
Meanwhile, the attackers will have to fight their way to their goal by besieging defenders from both sides. To make it easier for you to transition from one area of the map to another, there are also comfortable cableways, which run from one side of the entire playable area to the other.
While it may seem like only a slight modification, this structure completely changes the gameplay of the defenders, who usually enter the game near the object to be protected and are rewarded for maintaining a rather passive style of play. In Fracture the defenders can make the first move and more actively decree the outcome of the fight.
Fracture will arrive on Valorant as part of the patch 3.05, which is only expected to arrive next week as part of the game’s new Act update. Valorant Episode 3 Act 2 is scheduled to arrive on September 9th. In short, we will have to wait a long time to throw ourselves headlong into the new content.
