Digital payments: Visa discusses it at Salone dei Payments 2022
The last two years have pushed this trend beyond belief: today 80% of face-to-face payments are contactless. And Visa let it be known that they passed the billion in tap-to-ride paymentswhich allow access to urban transport in contactless mode.
Furthermore, the latest study by the Visa Observatory on Digital Payments, carried out with Ipsos, reports that 89% of micro and small merchants in Italy expects the majority of in-store payments to be digital over the next 3-4 years.
Stefano M. Stoppani, Country Manager Visa Italy, explains: “We are facing a clear change of pace. After having discovered digital as an ally to face the limitations imposed by the pandemic, merchants and small businesses have experienced its benefits and are now aware that digital represents an expansion of business opportunities and that digital payments are a lever to increase volumes of sales, not to miss opportunities with foreign tourists and have greater protection against fraud and risks”.
So at the stand at the Salone dei Payments, Visa wants to show some solutions for SMEs and professionals such as Cardinal Commerce, Visa’s solution for the e-commerce payment authentication industry. Or Cybersourceto fight fraud and reduce associated costs.
And then solutions developed with and for partners, such as RCH Pay, the first Tap to phone payment system that transforms RCH telematic recorders into POS. Also, open banking solutions such as Tink to develop financial products and services while saving money for fintech companies. Or Switcho, which helps to analyze and save on recurring expenses such as electricity, gas, internet, telephone and insurance. And ecolytiq to reduce your carbon footprint o Snowdrop Solutions to offer advanced digital solutions for B2B-B2C.
