Time to take stock also for Snapchat, which reveals the most popular Lenses of 2022 and the biggest trends of the last 12 months. The platform has in fact published an annual report in which it offers us rankings, including AR lenses, music and places.

The Most Popular Lenses of 2022 on Snapchat

In 2022, over 6 billion Snapchatters used AR Lenses daily. The most popular in Italy were:

  • Crying Lens
  • Shook Lens
  • Cute Anime Lens
  • Crying Lenses also dominate the global leaderboards, being used 9.7 billion times. Great success also for the Shook Lens and the Cartoon Kid and Cute Anime Lenses, which complete the global podium.

    Music, entertainment and places: the trends of 2022

    The report reveals that between 2021 and 2022 the number of Stories on Snap containing musica it has tripled. The most popular tunes are Happy Birthday’s rendition of Vitamin AYummy the Justin Bieber and mega-hit Heat Waves by Glass Animals were among the most popular songs.

    The TV series the most cited were instead Cobra Kai, Euphoria, Love Island and Stranger Things. As for i film la Top 5 è composta da: Hotel Transylvania: Transformania, Thor: Love and Thunder, Minions: The Rise of Gru, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness e Hocus Pocus 2.

    Travel Year End Asset

    Finally we find travel, in sharp recovery compared to 2021 which was still carrying the shadow of the pandemic. The most tagged location of the year was the airport, while the most photographed and shared attractions in the 2022 Snaps were: the Big Benil Guggenheim Museumthe Basilica of Saint Peterthe St. Paul’s Cathedral and theEmpire State Building.
