Great disappointment for all lovers of the It franchise. According to the latest revelations, in fact, the long-awaited prequel series Welcome to Derry, has been officially postponed to 2025. A delay according to what was declared, due to the consequences of the great strike of Hollywood actors and screenwriters; compromising the production of many other major productions (such as House of the Dragon, The Last of Us and Euphoria). These are the exclusive statements at the press conference by the head of the HBO network, Casey Bloys:
We had Welcome to Derry scheduled for Halloween 2024, but we will push it to 2025. The third season of White Lotus was supposed to come out in 2024, but this will also arrive in 2025

Welcome to Derry: everything we know about the release of the It prequel series
Announced some time ago by HBO itself; Welcome to Derry draws inspiration from the It universe described in Stephen King’s novel. Already the protagonist of several film adaptations; this time HBO has used all its potential to develop a cutting-edge sequel. Although no details on the plot have been declared at the moment, from the various theories bounced around the web, the story will be set in the infamous Derry, Maine; expanding the universe already known in the version described in the previous films by Andy Muschietti.
Designed by Barbara and the director Andy Muschietti himself; will be present in the cast Madeleine StoweStephen Rider, Taylour Paige, Jovan Adepo, Chris Chalk and James Remar. However, the great last actor is absent Bill Skarsgardwho has previously shared great advice and support for the series.
