Werewolf makes his surprise return to Disney+ in a full color edition
Last October 2022, Marvel delighted us with what was the first Marvel Cinematic Universe medium-length film dedicated to the character of Jack Russell, Licantropus (originally Werewolf By Night). This was an experiment to renew the franchise a bit, bringing more than films and TV series into the long storyline (to be followed in chronological order, which you can find here). A more than successful experiment! The medium-length film shows violence and darkness never seen before in the MCU, perhaps starting a supernatural and dark section of the enormous Marvelian mythology.
Lycanthropus: return in color edition
Marvel decided to scare us with this surprise news by relaunching Lycanthropus in a color edition on Disney+ this October 20th. A return that will certainly intrigue those who loved this Halloween special, characteristic for the in filter black and white which made everything much darker, giving us vibes from classic horror films of the 40s. This medium-length film has its charm exactly for this characteristic given exclusively to Werewolf, we wonder if the color edition will give us the same impact as its first release.
Lycanthropus tells a story in which Jack Russell (Gael García Bernal) delves into a guild of hunters, gathered by Verusa, widow of Ulysses Bloodstone. Hunters will have to go through a hunt to prove they are worthy of the Bloodstone, ancient relic belonging to Ulysses capable of weakening monsters. Jack will take part in the hunt, alongside him will be Elsa (Laura Donnelly), daughter of Ulysses, together they will collaborate to achieve their goals. We remind you that the appointment is set for October 20th.
