In the announcement trailer, we can admire the typical cyberpunk atmospheres and settings that permeate the first Blade Runner. The game, in fact, shows clear references to the historical locations and technologies used by the protagonists of the films. However, we haven’t seen the gameplay yet, so we don’t know exactly what kind of game it will be.
The game takes place between the events of the first Blade Runner and those of Blade Runner 2049in a period in which the replicants have disappeared after the Black Out. Our hero is therefore a former Blade Runner who is called into service for a new mysterious mission.
It is important to emphasize that the game, in addition to being published, it will also be developed by Annapurna Interactivethus becoming the first title entirely developed by the studio.
For the rest, the reveal trailer does not offer us many other details, and nothing is known about the release date, which means that it has succeeded in its goal of making the hype skyrocket.
