Arrived in Italy in 2015, Netflix immediately conquered the Bel Paese, with a constantly expanding catalog. Meanwhile, the service, in August, celebrated its 25th anniversary since its original launch in the US, when it was “only” a DVD rental platform. Perhaps not everyone knows, however, that it is possible to consult the history relating to your account. Today we explain how to find out what are the first contents you have (and have) seen on Netflix.
Netflix history: how to (re) discover the first viewed contents
To consult the Netflix history you will need to log in to your account from a browser (we recommend that you do it from the desktop). Once the home opens, here are the steps you need to take:
- Click onyour profile icon top right
- Select the item “Account”
- At this point you will see the account summary, with payment method and billing details. Below is a section called “Profiles and Family Filter”. Click on the account whose history you want to know.
- In the menu that appears, click on “Content viewing activities”
At this point, the last viewed contents will appear. You can click on “Show more” to continue scrolling or we recommend clicking “Download All” (bottom right).
This will download a file in .csv which you can open with Excel (on Windows) or Numbers (on Mac). The file in question will list all the contents that you have seen on the platform in reference to your account.
Over the past 25 years (7 in Italy) Netflix has revolutionized the way we approach television shows and cinema, offering us the now consolidated formula of “Look where and when you want”. To learn more about the history of the platform, also read our dedicated article.
