WhatsApp Beta: a very useful new privacy setting arrives

WhatsApp has just released a new update of its beta version, via Google Play Beta, bringing the version to 2.21.20.10. This new incarnation of the beta version of Whatsapp brings with it various new features, but the most interesting of all is undoubtedly the one that allows users to customize their privacy settings. Let’s see what it’s about.

WhatsApp Beta: custom privacy settings arrive

About three weeks ago it emerged that WhatsApp had plans to update the privacy settings, introducing a new option. The information in question concerned iOS, but today, thanks to the update 2.21.20.10 beta, we can finally announce that WhatsApp is (obviously) planning to introduce the same function also on WhatsApp beta for Android.

According to what was written by the colleagues of WABetaInfo, the new functionality will allow users to exclude a specific contact from viewing a wide range of specific and decisive information, such as your profile picture, the last access to the messaging platform and so on.

In a nutshell, the application will now allow users to choose between four options: “Everyone”, “My contacts”, “My contacts except” and nobody”. Finally, therefore, we will be able to exclude only some specific people from seeing our private information, without necessarily having to do it for all of them. Unfortunately we don’t have direct evidence of the feature yet, but we are sure they will arrive shortly.

If you want to try the version for yourself 2.21.20.10 WhatsApp Beta for devices based on Google’s mobile operating system, just go to the Play Store and subscribe to the beta testing channel. However, we point out that at the moment the places are sold out and that therefore you may have to wait for the new wave of invitations to become part of the program yourself.
