In Berlin we found lots of new products among the stands of IFA 2023ma TP-Link has been able to surprise us with two really interesting developments: Wi-Fi 7 routers and Matter-compliant devices.
TP-Link a IFA 2023, from WiFi 7 e Matter
As we have already explained to you in this article, TP-Link introduced Wi-Fi 7 at the end of 2022 and decided to show it in Berlin. But after seeing the routers at IFA 2023, we were really impressed with the design of these products (which we can’t wait to test).
I router Archer BE900 e BE550 they’re massive, with plenty of room to cool operations – something the TP-Link team tell us is essential. But they have a really strong and well-crafted design. There is an LED screen to see settings and connection speeds.
At the stand we also saw Archer BE230the entry level model for those who want the latest technology, without frills.
But we really liked the range extenders that recall the look of routers. The models RE655BE, RE550BE and RE800BE bring the power of Wi-Fi 7 everywhere, eliminating dead zones.
TP-Link has introduced mesh systems come Deco BE65, BE65-5G e BE85which are compatible with the Wi-Fi 7 standard, ensuring optimal coverage throughout the house.
Even for the Deco line, we like the fact that TP-Link has put enough thought into the design that you won’t have to hide the repeaters behind potted plants or piles of books. One thing that reduces the quality of the connection. While with products with a simple but well-crafted style, you’ll have no problem placing them where it’s best for connectivity.
But the attention to design does not go only to products with WiFi 7 (or in any case top of the range). For example, we were struck by the devices of the series Archer Air R5, which are very simple white squares to hang on the wall, but supporting WiFi 6 and can be extended with equally minimalist repeaters.
The Matter standard arrives in the TP-Link ecosystem
TP-Link at IFA 2023 set up a “house in the stand”, complete with an entrance door where you can ring the smart doorbell, security cameras and an intelligent robot that cleans the carpet. From year to year it seems to us that the company continues to expand the ecosystem of products It became at a really strong pace. But this year in Berlin you also presented a series of Matter compatible products.
Among TP-Link’s Matter products are smart plugs Became P100M e Became P115M, the P300M power strip and the L535E Wi-Fi bulb. Also, TP-Link has announced an OTA update for its hubs Take H200 and H500, which will make them compatible with the new Matter products. The company also told us that it plans to announce more products that support this standard soon.
But in addition to routers and Matter devices, the company also presented in Berlin security cameras, smart sensors and many other smart home products. You can find them on the TP-Link official website.
