If you used a PC in the late 90’s and early 2000’s, you probably know what we’re talking about. Winamp, the hugely popular media player, is finally back, opening the download to a brand new version. The update 5.9 it represents not only the return to the scene of an iconic mp3 player, but also “4 years of work”, to use the words of the developers.
The software, until the early years of the new millennium, was one of the most appreciated multimedia players by users, especially by music lovers. In 1999 the brand was bought by AOLbut the rapid evolution of the market led it to lose ground compared to the rise of new services, such as iTunes.
