Microsoft continues its Windows 11 development program. Users enrolled in the Windows Insider program, which allows you to preview the new features of the operating system, have begun to receive a new build (for now reserved for subscribers to the Dev channel, or the least stable) which introduces the new Windows 11 taskbar with optimizations for the use of the touch screen of tablets.
Windows 11 is renewed with the new touch friendly taskbar
The new version of the taskbar is optimized for use via touch controls. Windows 11 users will be able to count on one expanded version of the bar which incorporates the characteristics of the traditional version but with a series of measures designed to improve touch use. Then there is one compact version which reduces the number of reported information and apps to avoid accidental touches when using your Windows 11 device in tablet mode.
Users will be able to choose the most suitable version
A new option will be placed in Windows 11 Settings that allows users to choose whether to use the “normal” application bar or the one optimized for tablets and touch controls. In this way, the operating system aims to offer maximum flexibility to users. The new taskbar has just made its debut on the Insider circuit. It will take several weeks (or months) of development before recording the stable version.
