Recently, Microsoft has announced the titles that will be part of the second tranche of free games on Xbox Game Pass for August 2023: let’s find out all the details together in this dedicated article
We are now exactly in mid-August (by the way, happy mid-August!), and after Sony has made its batch of games available for the Premium level of PlayStation Plus, now is the time to talk about Microsoft’s Game Pass. Starting today, which sees Everspace 2 arrive, a roguelike space shooter whose first chapter we greatly appreciated. Not only this, however: there are many new features, and we will see them together in the next paragraphs.
Among the new August releases on Xbox Game Pass there is also Gris
Among the most interesting additions to the Game Pass of this second half of August we certainly find Gris. It is useless to tell you further about the Nomada Studio title, we have covered it extensively in our complete review of the PlayStation 4 version (you can find it by clicking here, if you are interested), we just tell you that you will absolutely have to give him a chance on September 5thwhen it is available for free in the Microsoft service.
Equally interesting is the arrival of Sea of Stars, which we have already covered in a dedicated preview (find it here!), a turn-based RPG that draws heavily on the classic Final Fantasy and Chrono Trigger. The game will be available from day one, on August 29th, also for all Sony PlayStatio Plus Premium subscribers. Below is the complete list of August’s additions:
- Everspace 2 (Console and Cloud) – August 15
- Firewatch (Console, PC and Cloud) – August 17
- The Texas Chain Saw Massacre (Console, PC and Cloud) – August 18
- Sea of Stars (Console, PC, and Cloud) – August 29
- Gris (Console, PC, and Cloud) – September 5
And that’s it, as far as the second half of August releases on Xbox Game Pass are concerned.
