The challenge to other live services is open: XDefiant has a release date, here's the awaited day to mark on your calendars
We barely talked forty-eight hours ago about how “soon” it was supposed to arrive exit datebut apparently XDefiant received one sooner than expected. The official press release from Ubisoft speak clearly: they separate us just over two weeks from the new live service from the French publisher. The free-to-play title will arrive on PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC (via Ubisoft Connect, in this case) Tuesday 21 May. The confirmation from Ubisoft San Francisco is decidedly more optimistic than the statements on the performance of the servers had implied: in reality, everything is ready. In fact, we will have to deal with a “pre-season” period that will last six weeksbefore seasonal content.

XDefiant release date: “soon is getting…sooner”
With these words, difficult to render in our local language, Ubisoft announced the release date of XDefiant. Thanking us for helping test the servers, the publisher revealed that the “pre-season” would begin on May 21st. The factions they will be the same ones seen during the testing phase: Echelon, Phantoms, Cleaners, Libertad and, upon unlocking or purchase, Dedsec. The maps will be Arena, Attica Heights, Dumbo, Echelon HQ, Emporium, Liberty, Mayday, Meltdown, Midway, Nudleplex, Pueblito, Showtime, Times Square and Zoo. All of this will be available in mode Domination, Hot Shot, Occupy, Escort and Zone Control. It will be possible to compete in ranked matches or not, redeeming the rewards accumulated during the tests. Of course, every season (starting from the first year) will introduce new content on all fronts.
