The new Xiaomi 12 range is about to officially debut. In these hours, in fact, the Chinese house has confirmed on the Weibo social network the imminent debut of the new top of the range. The date to be circled on the calendar is the next date December 28 around 11.30 am Italian time. There are at least two smartphones on the way. Xiaomi will present the Xiaomi 12 (defined as a small flagship) and the largest and, probably, complete 12 Pro.

The official presentation will be followed by rapid commercialization, at least for the Chinese market. The new Xiaomi 12 and 12 Pro will debut on the European market during first quarter of 2022. More details on the timing of the debut in Europe will arrive in the coming weeks. During the presentation event, Xiaomi could also reveal the MIUI 13, ready to debut on the brand’s new smartphones.
The specifications
For the moment, information on the new 12 and 12 Pro is still limited. The two smartphones will be able to count on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, Qualcomm’s new top-of-the-range SoC and on various combinations of RAM and storage. It should be noted, however, that the display will be an OLED unit with a 120 Hz refresh rate. The display, as also confirmed by the attached image, will have a hole for the front camera, positioned centrally. To evaluate, however, the photographic sector which, of course, will present several sensors. More details will arrive next week.
