Yellowstone is a Paramount Network series starring, among many others, Kevin Costner in a role that has certainly given him a new challenge in recent years and a new opportunity to get involved as an actor, after his great success in the cinema. One of the many film actors who has chosen to explore the world of TV series probably looking for new stimuli. The result was a successful series that was highly appreciated by the public, but which unfortunately did not have much luck.
Yellowstone canceled: the fifth season will be the last
Paramount Channel has just announced the cancellation of Yellowstone, with the confirmation that the fifth season, currently underway, will be the last. The first part has already aired, while the second part will be broadcast in November 2023 and will therefore be the final one. Bad news for all fans, but in general for the world of TV series which has lost a real jewel of recent years. While the Yellowstone universe won’t disappear entirely: in fact Paramount has announced in a press release that a spin-off is planned, starring Matthew McConaughey. The actor is not new to the world of TV series, in fact that in recent years he has already taken part in some projects, first of all True Detective, which saw him as the protagonist of the very successful first season.
Hopefully then a this point that the series can have a worthy ending, with its final episodes of the second part of the fifth season and that everything is not left in the hands of the spin-off, although it may still be good news and very interesting for fans, also given the announcement of its protagonist.
