Trump non tornerà su Twitter: perchè? thumbnail

YouTube has reinstated Donald Trump’s channel

More than two years have passed since, after the dramatic riots on Capitol Hill on January 6, 2021, YouTube had banned Donald Trump from your platform. A maneuver that was certainly not isolated, given that all the main social networks had taken similar measures against the former US president, believed to be primarily responsible for the riots.

After the reinstatement on Twitter thanks to the amnesty of Elon Musk and the return on social networks of the Meta group, today Google is also re-admitting the tycoon, restoring its YouTube channel. A channel that has 2.6 million subscribers. It now remains to be seen whether Trump will intend to resume activity on the platform. However, given the upcoming 2024 presidential elections, the former president is unlikely to give up major social platforms.

Donald Trump’s YouTube channel is back, but not all the videos

The news of the reinstatement came from Leslie Miller, vice president of public policy at YouTube. He said (via Gizmondo) that the former president’s account “is no longer restricted and the ability to upload new content has been restored.” With the restoration of his channel, some old videos with comments also return, although some clips have been permanently deleted. These are those videos deemed to incite violence.
