Cambridge Analytica: Mark Zuckerberg called to testify
In 2018 Cambridge Analytica she became known for partnering with Donald Trump’s campaign team and for achieving access to the private data of 50 million users Facebook, used to profile voters. And a few years earlier, however, the company had played a similar role in the 2016 UK Brexit referendum. Therefore, after users filed a lawsuit against the company, Meta executives will now be called upon to testify on the stolen data scandal. Also Sheryl Sandberg, COO who has left his position, will face a full five hours of deposition. And the same goes for Javier Olivanwho has little taken his role, and who will be subjected to a deposition for at least three hours.
All depositions are expected to be collected in the next couple of months, and may include other witnesses such as Rob Sherman – Facebook Privacy Manager -, Eddie O’Neil – former Director of Product Management – e Konstantinos Papamiltiadis, which followed the partnership with Cambridge Analytica. That said, the lawsuit could reveal new details in the Cambridge Analytica scandal, which rocked the company’s public reputation and led to Congressional hearings in which Zuckerberg was criticized for hours over Facebook’s data privacy policies. Not surprisingly, in 2019 Meta accepted one record fine of 5 billion dollars by the Federal Trade Commission (FTC). In short, the question was not easy for Zuckerberg’s company. And it seems not to continue to be.
