Chieftronic brand, Chieftec’s gaming-focused brand, announces the launch of the new series of SteelPower power supplies
The Serie SteelPower di Chieftronic brings with it several features and already established components of the PowerPlay series in the new PSU family. Chieftronic’s new SteelPower series consists of 3 branded models 80 PLUS BRONZE, with cuts from 550/650/750 Watt.
Chieftronic introduces the new series of SteelPower PSUs
The power supply family in question boasts Half-bridge LLC converter accompanied by technology DC-to-DC and Premium Japanese capacitors for best stability. Voltage regulators contribute to keep ripple under control, with all the efficiency of certification 80PLUS Bronze. The power supplies are all fully modular to ensure excellent compatibility and ease in cable management.
Chieftronic then equipped the SteelPower series, as mentioned composed of 3 modelli 550W, 650W, and 750W, of a 120mm fan of the FDB silent fan family. The following protection circuits are present on board AFC (Automatic Fan speed Control), OCP (Overcurrent protection), UP (Overload protection), OTP (Over-temperature protection), Original packaging (Overvoltage protection), SCP (Short-circuit protection), SIP (Surge & Inrush Protection), UVP (Under Voltage protection).
For the 650W model we have instead 110W supplied for the + 3.3V and + 5V lines, with 20.0A. While we have 648W for the + 12V line with 54.0A. The SteelPower series will accompany Chieftronic’s product portfolio to the PowerUP, Proton and Power Play families.
In the package we will have a connector 20+4 PIN ATX 650mm, two connectors 8 PIN PCIe (6 + 2) of 500mm, two connectors 8 PIN EPS (4+4) da 600mm, 6 SATA connectors da 500mm, 3 Molex connectors from 500mm. The dimensions of the power supply are instead of 40mm x 150mm x 86mm. At the moment, the price and market availability are not indicated.
