Mattel, Inc. and Milestone, one of the leading global developers of racing video games, today unveiled the special post-launch content plan for Hot Wheels Unleashed that may be unlocked over the next few months.
Hot Wheels Pass and DLC content
Three Hot Wheels™ Pass will unlock a host of special DLC content: from Hot Wheels originals, to Barbie, DC ™, Masters of the Universe, Street Fighter ™, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and OEMs like Aston Martin, BMW and McLaren ™ and many more. Free and premium DLCs will also be released periodically and may include vehicles, track building modules, customization elements and exclusive themed expansion sets that introduce new environments. Players will also have the opportunity to participate in seasonal races, limited-time challenges with new vehicles and special rewards.
Hot Wheels Pass Vol. 1 will be available at launch and will include ten vehicles from the universe of brands such as Barbie, DC ™, Street Fighter ™ and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, three customization packs and three track building modules. It will also include a Batman DC ™ DLC expansion. Details on HOT WHEELS – Batman Expansion and Hot Wheels Pass Vol. 2 and Vol. 3 will be revealed at a later time.
Hot Wheels Unleashed: the car park
66 vehicles from some of pop culture’s most iconic brands will be showcased at launch such as the DC ™ Batmobile, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles ‘Party Wagon, Peanuts’ Snoopy, KITT from Knight Rider and The Time Machine from Back to the Future and more still. Hot Wheels is the global leader in the vehicle market, being the best-selling toy in the world.

Hot Wheels Unleashed will launch worldwide on September 30, 2021 on PlayStation®5, PlayStation®4, Xbox Series X | S, Xbox One X, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC (Steam and Epic Games Store).
