Niantic has just confirmed that the Pokémon GO Safari event, initially slated for 2020, will take place this year. The company has specified that those who participate in this event can expect to find themed Pokémon, missions designed specifically for the Safari and more. Here’s everything we know for now.
Pokémon GO: the Safari Event arrives
Unfortunately this event is not expected to arrive in Italy, and will only take place in Philadelphia (29 – 31 October), Liverpool (15 – 17 October) and St. Louis (12 – 14 November), as had already been planned by the company. in 2020. Niantic has specified that it is working to ensure a fair carrying out the event in total safety and in line with anti Covid-19 health provisions.
On the other hand, the events in the presence have begun to progressively return to Pokémon GO for a few months, a perfect example in this sense was the Pokémon GO Fest 2021, whose celebrations have been available all over the world, with a special bonus dedicated to about twenty cities.
In any case, it cannot be said that Niantic’s handling of the game has not been without criticism. Just a few weeks ago a good chunk of players protested against the company because of the removal of some bonuses introduced with the pandemic. Specifically we are talking about the range of action within which it is possible to interact with Pokéstop and Gyms.
Niantic, however, proved receptive to coach voices and made the increased range permanent, also stating that wanting to be more transparent with respect to decisions made during development. For this, a sort of logbook will be published monthly containing the company’s plans for the future of Pokémon GO.
