Through a press release, Electronic Arts has announced the launch of Skate.Reel to celebrate the fourteenth anniversary of the Skate franchise
Back in 2007, when we were all much younger, naive and serene, EA Black Box launched a title destined to make history on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and mobile devices (at the time relatively few). We are talking about Skate, which was then followed by two sequels, Skate 2 and Skate 3, always in the same console generation. During June 2020, always Electronic Arts has announced that it wants to take over the franchise with a fourth chapter, which, however, has so far shown relatively little in the spotlight of the press. We know that it is in development and that it will most likely be cross-platform, and a short teaser has also been released, but little else.
Waiting for the fourth chapter, Electronic Arts announced, through a press release, of want to celebrate the fourteenth anniversary of the Skate franchise with some interesting initiatives. First of all, on the Twitter profile of Skate an AMA (Ask me Anything) was broadcast with the creative directors of Skate, Cuz Parry and Deran Chung, from which a lot of interesting information and curiosities emerged.
Skate.reel is online and Electronic Arts celebrates the fourteenth anniversary of the franchise!
Additionally, the team launched the skate.reel site, a tribute to OG’s where fans can upload and share clips, screenshots and fan-art with the world. Members of the Skate community, including Calplex, Nebula, Skate3Tommy, KellyLitz, and others have already started sharing content through the reel.
