From today 14 September the incentives on electric and plug-in cars will be available again. Despite the fact that in August the funds to be dedicated were exhausted to the Ecobonus, it seems that the government has already financed the fund for another 60 million euros, allowing the return of all incentives. The delay of this new fund is due to a small system flaw, already resolved during the past few weeks.
The incentives for electric and plug-in cars are back
The problem relating to the arrival of new funds is to be found in an incorrect interpretation, which has made the Ecobonus funds flow into theExtrabonus. Fortunately, the government intervened promptly to reverse the approximately 57 million remaining directly in the fund dedicated to the Ecobonus, which we can start using again starting today with all its incentives.
Booking your incentive is very simple, just go to the platform dedicated to the Ecobonus and choose the formula suitable for the model of car you want to buy. It should be noted that in this round the concessions have been made a little lower than in the past and only come up to 6,000 euros for the purchase of low-emission cars.
A fair difference compared to the 10,000 of the previous initiative. A choice that, however, seems to have been rather forced, in such a way as to make the facilities available to a wider audience. In addition to this, in the note on the official website it can be read that the following have been: “The deadlines for completing the reservations in progress for vehicles of category M1, M1 special, N1 and L have been extended: for those entered on the platform from January 1 to 30 June 2021 will be possible until 31 December 2021 while for those inserted from 1 July to 31 December 2021 until 30 June 2022 “.
Here is in detail how the contributions for the purchase of electric or plug-in cars will be distributed:
- 0-20 g / km CO2 with scrapping: 6,000 euros
- 0-20 g / km CO2 without scrapping: 4,000 euros
- 21-60 g / km CO2 with scrapping: 2,500 euros
- 21-60 g / km CO2 without scrapping: 1,500 euros
How can the benefits be booked?
To reserve your content you will need to go through a four-step process. First of all, retailers will have to register in the specific area dedicated to them, after which they will have to book all the contributions relating to each individual car on which to apply the incentive.
The operation must then be confirmed by 180 days from booking, communicating the vehicle registration number and attaching the necessary documentation.
During the sales process then, the contribution is paid to the customer by offsetting the purchase price. The third step, on the other hand, sees the manufacturers or importers of the vehicle refund the amount of the contribution to the seller.
Finally, these same companies receive from the seller the necessary documentation to recover the amount of the contribution in the form of a tax credit.
