The Orca team will support Square Enix in the realization of the awaited new chapter of the saga created by Yuji Horii, Dragon Quest 12
Here are some news on the development of the awaited new chapter of Dragon Quest. In fact, it seems that the team led by the creator of the saga Yuji Horii, confirmed that the Team Orca will help with the development of Dragon Quest 12. The title was announced a few months ago during the event to celebrate the 35th anniversary of the saga by Square Enix and still has neither a launch date nor any reference platforms. The only certainty at the moment is that the title will be made using the new Unreal Engine 5 by Epic Games.
Dragon Quest 12 will also be developed by Team Orca
The Orca team will therefore give full support to the Yuji Horii team for the realization of Dragon Quest 12. In reality it is not the first time that this team has collaborated with Square Enix, as in the past he also held the same role in the making of Dragon Quest 11: Echoes of an Elusive Age. In addition, the team had also helped in the development of Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown, a title released in 2019 for Bandai Namco.
At the moment, however, it doesn’t look like we’ll be seeing Dragon Quest 12 anytime soon. At the moment it looks like the development team is looking for talent able to work with Unreal Engine 5, in roles as character artist, animator, user interface artist and much more. Yuji Horii announced during the presentation of the game, that Dragon Quest 12 will be immense and that it will have a revamped combat system compared to the past.
