Recently, a comparison trailer between Alan Wake Remastered and the 2010 original was released via the official Xbox YouTube channel.
Many years have passed since we were able to experience Alan Wake’s adventure on Xbox 360. A title that has definitely left an indelible mark in the history of gaming, so much so that fans have been clamoring for years for a sequel or an updated version that they can relive with improved graphics. A couple of years later, in 2012, Alan Wake also came to PC via Steam along with a standalone spin-off DLC, Alan Wake’s American Nightmare., certainly not at the quality level of the original title, but which was still a welcome addition for fans. From then on, nothing was known about Alan’s fate. This until 2019, when Remedy put on the market the highly appreciated Control, set in the same universe and in whose game world it was possible to find some clues about the end that Alan had done.
The much-rumored sequel did not show up and it all seemed destined to end there, in the Control universe. This is until, after several leaks and rumors, during the PlayStation Showcase in September the Alan Wake Remastered was officially confirmed, which this time will not be exclusive to Microsoft and which will therefore arrive, as well as on Xbox platforms, also on PlayStation and obviously PC (plus some rumors about a Nintendo Switch version). Furthermore, recently, through the official channels of Xbox, Remedy has also released a new trailer that compares the technical and graphic sector of the Remastered with the original title of 2010. We leave it for you below.
Alan Wake Remastered compared to the original in the comparison trailer
The comparison shown is between the Xbox 360 version and the Xbox Series X version. As can be expected from a work such as that carried out for the remasters, although these are not jaw-breaking improvements, we are still faced with a not indifferent qualitative increase. Texture in 4K, cutscenes migliorate e frame rate rocceo, in short, everything we would expect from a remastered well done. We hope this is actually the case! We remind you that the Alan Wake Remastered will arrive next October 5th on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X | S and PC.
