Nissan Introduces New Townstar Van: A Game Changer in the Light Commercial Vehicle (LCV) Market

Nissan has officially unveiled the new Nissan Townstar. It is a new compact and versatile commercial vehicle, designed to fully satisfy the needs of the business clientele of the Japanese company. The new Townstar arrives on the market in both a petrol variant and a variant with a 100% electric motor, taking up the legacy of the e-NV200.

Customers interested in the new Nissan Townstar will be able to choose between two versions. Nissan’s new light and compact commercial vehicle comes to market with the 1.3 petrol engine with 130 HP of maximum power and 240 Nm of torque. alternatively, there is one 90 kW electric variant with 44 kwh battery and 245 Nm of torque. The electric version of the Townstar can count on an innovative consumption management system and on an advanced system for cooling the battery. The vehicle, in this configuration, is able to guarantee aautonomy of 285 kilometers.

Lots of technology for the new vehicle

Nissan’s new Townstar can count on over 20 technological solutions for safety and driving assistance. Note, for example, the presence of solutions such as the Side Wind Assist e the Trailer Sway Assist, which improve driving stability. Available to users is the emergency braking system with recognition of pedestrians and cyclists, the automatic parking system and intelligent cruise control. The new Nissan makes its debut in a compact LCV Around View Monitor. Also noteworthy is the presence of Nissan ProPILOT and features E-Call, Apple CarPlay / Android Auto and wireless charging of the phone.

The new Townstar is developed on the platform CMF-CD and it is the first European model from Nissan to be able to count on the new logo.
