The expensive gasoline, which for months now weighs on the accounts of motorists and motorcyclists does not seem to have an end. On Friday the trading of petroleum products in the Mediterranean closed higher and like a Swiss watch ENI, before all the other oil companies, adjusted the prices of petrol and diesel by a cent.
Specifically, from Monday 11 October, according to what was reported by the Quotidiano Energia with respect to the data communicated by the operators to the Fuel Price Observatory of the Mise, the national average price of petrol, in self mode, goes to 1,718 euros / liter (Friday 1,709) with the different brands between 1,711 and 1,732 euros / liter (no logo 1,700). If you choose to be served by an attendant to fill up gasoline the average price charged increases at 1,851 euros / liter (Friday 1,843) with an average of the best known brands standing between 1,790 and 1,926 euros / liter (no logo 1,747).
Diesel is also growing and in self mode it costs 1,576 euros / liter (Friday it was 1,565) with an average cost between the various companies between 1,570 and 1,587 euros / liter (no logo 1,560). In “served” mode the diesel comes to cost 1,717 euros / liter (Friday it was 1,708) with average prices charged by the companies that are between 1,657 and 1,789 euros / liter (no logo 1,608). Not even LPG escapes, which sees an increase from 0.792 to 0.806 euros / liter (no logo 0.782).

Surely the ones who have suddenly seen the price of their car’s fuel skyrocket are the owners of methane-powered models. If the choice of these cars over the other diesel or petrol cars was precisely for the very low cost of a full tank, now those times are (unfortunately) over. From 0.90 cents per kilogram it has gone to an average price of 1.5 1.7 euros, with the latest survey showing a average price of CNG for cars between 1,443 and 1,794 (no logo 1,514) – Friday 1,336 and 1,696 (no logo 1,400). And in central-northern Italy there are not a few distributors who have put a price that even exceeds 2 euros per kg.

Unfortunately, however, we are talking about the “net” price, that is, before all tax taxes (VAT, taxes and excise duties) are applied, which are the main cause (60% more) of the very high final price that you have to pay.
This expensive gasoline now out of control, in addition to having a heavy impact on the economy of every Italian family that owns a car, also increases the costs of those transporting goods (airplanes, ships, trucking) with a relative increase also in the goods of first necessity and not. In practice, soaring fuel prices are putting the entire cost of living to the test.
