Gustavo Sandrucci earns the title of champion of the BMW M2 CS Racing Cup Italy
With two victories at Mugello, Gustavo Sandrucci won the title of champion of the first edition of the BMW M2 CS Racing Cup Italy. In race 1, the driver from Viterbo crossed the finish line first after winning the position with two laps to go. Behind his back Marco Zanasi e Jody I want, who fought for third place until the end with Filippo Maria Zanin. It was a difficult race for all the riders, marked by harsh weather conditions that put a strain on the tires, but in which Sandrucci managed to win.
And the same can be said of race 2, marked by a small accident of Jody Vullo and Marco Pellegrini, which forces the Safety Car to enter the track. An inconvenience that did not stop Luigi Ferrara, Marco Zanasi and Gustavo Sandrucci at all, who fought for the first place for the entire duration of the race. Between overtaking and twists, in the end it was once again the Viterbo who managed to cross the finish line first. This is how Luigi Ferrara and Marco Zanasi got on the podium, with Filippo Maria Zanin closing in fourth position ahead of “Babalus”.
A sweaty victory, which allowed the driver from Viterbo to earn the title of champion of the BMW M2 CS Racing Cup Italy. And deservedly too, considering the long and successful career that distinguishes him.
