The “boys of Liverpool” as you have never seen them, will soon be on Disney + for three days: 25, 26 and 27 November in the original docuseries directed by Peter Jackson “The Beatles: Get back”
It is very short to see the creative process of the Beatles in streaming while writing 14 new songs in the composition phase. For their first live concert after more than two years of hiatus, the “boys of Liverpool” John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr, show us the deep bonds of friendship that emerge in this important “creative space”. A space full of fun moments, but also of conflict.
The plot
Award-winning director Peter Jackson conducted a studio of nearly 60 hours of unreleased footage and more than 150 hours of audio recordings, many of which were never heard and never released.
The result is magnificent: three days of a series with high level historical, musical and artistic contents. We will have the opportunity to get in touch again with one of the best known bands ever, but above all with the human beings “behind” the musicians.
From the comfort of our sofa, we will explore some of the most intimate aspects of these great artists: emotions, moments of conflict, doubts and creativity. Last but not least, we will see the latest live performance of the Beatles as a group, the memorable concert on the roof of Savile Row, London.
Here are the words of Peter Jackson:
It would be fair to say that today Let It Be symbolizes the breaking up of The Beatles. That’s the mythology, the truth is somewhat different. The real story of Let It Be has been locked in the vaults of Apple Corps for the last fifty years.
But it doesn’t stop there! For true enthusiasts, from 12 October you can request a copy of the book published by Callaway & Apple Corps which coincides precisely with the release of Peter Jackson “THE BEATLES: GET BACK”.
A Volume with exclusive photographic material, illustrated with unpublished images, including photos of Ethan A. Russell and Linda McCartney. Here you will find the link where you can buy a copy:
Conclusions
We just have to wait until the end of next month to enjoy this “slice of history” for fans, nostalgics, but also simply curious. A show for all of great cultural enrichment and connection with art. Three days that will move the generation of ’68 and will involve all those who, at that time, lived through their famous and iconic songs.
Meanwhile, we have a four-minute trailer that captures the moment of a recording session of the band in January 1969, an epic moment in the history of pop music.
