Google announced new tools to ensure the safety and privacy of online users. The new features celebrate Cybersecurity Awareness Month and aim to guarantee users the ability to access solutions designed to make sensitive data private and secure. The news announced will come gradually over the next few months, enriching Google’s privacy tools.
Google introduces new features for user privacy
Among the novelties announced today through the Google official blog we find the New Security Hub for Pixel devices. It is a panel designed to collect all the information relating to the management of user data that will be able to select the preferred settings in an even easier way.
Also noteworthy is the introduction of calls with End to Ende encryption for Google Fi and the expansion of the VPN on Google One to a greater number of countries (in Italy it is already available for Google One members with Premium subscription).
They are also introduced new control tools for safety and protection against phishing and malware inAndroid Messages app. With the HTTPS-First Mode of Chrome, moreover, the browser will update the connections to all the pages visited by the user to the HTTPS protocol. When this protocol is not supported, users will be presented with a warning screen. It should be noted that for Google users there is the possibility to take advantage of the tool Security Checkup to verify and customize the security of your account.

Note that Google is also updating security and privacy tools for Google Photos. The application that collects all user photos can count on functionality Locked Folder, a private folder to include sensitive images. According to information revealed by Google, this folder will also be available on iOS in the coming months.
