The Vallelunga circuit hosted the final appointment of the EIGHT Cup 2021, the first and only national motorcycle championship dedicated to riders with disabilities. In this race he simply shone Maurizio Castelli (BMW S1000RR – Team Pistard), in great shape. But unfortunately the rider crashed in the last race at Misano, and today he could not in any way win the long-awaited title.
Behind him they come very little Umberto Troisi (on Ducati 1199 – Team Aruba) ed Emiliano Malagoli (on BMW S1000RR – BMW Italia). Malagoli finished with only four tenths of an advantage over his direct rival. The race was also excellent Jacopo Gullà (Aprilia RSV 1000 – Nuova M2 Racing / Punto Moto Corse), which is confirmed on the third step of the podium of the season.

Nell 600cc Samuele Bertolasio he drove alone right from the start, breaking away Elvis Jorgo e Paolo Sirtori and keeping his first place in the standings uncontested. Bertolasio also set a new record, with a lap of 1’47.675, while the fastest in the 1000cc and Castelli with 1’44.146 ..
Malagoli comments on his title victory: “The confirmation of the Italian title for the second consecutive time has an even greater value for me. The various social and sporting activities that I now follow full-time take away a lot of energy and a lot of time from my personal life. The passion, the results, the satisfactions, repay me for all the effort I put into everything I do every day. Precisely for this reason I have decided that next year I will sacrifice my competitive commitments to better and more closely follow the growing number of guys on race weekends: especially newcomers will benefit from my experience which I will gladly put at their disposal. With this year I will end my participation in the Italian championship, but I will continue to take to the track as a driver trying to realize other sporting projects that I have in my drawer “.
