ASUS has always tried to provide its users with various peripherals ranging from gaming to sporting levels, to simple home use. We have previously had the opportunity to test products from the series ROG, such as the mouse ASUS ROG Chakram or the keyboard ASUS ROG Strix Scope. Today, however, in this review, we will deal with two products of the series TUF, or the mouse ASUS TUF Gaming M3 and the mouse pad ASUS TUF Gaming P3. So we just have to start and find out how they behaved during our test.

The mouse turns out to be quite elegant and pleasing to the eye, thanks above all to its simple design. In fact, the peripheral has a completely gray and smooth central body, devoid of any decoration, except for the logo, the wheel and the buttons used to modify the PPE. The overlying plastic turns out to be somewhat slippery, especially with sweaty hands. The outer shell however is equipped with a specialized coating that will make it resistant to abrasion and sweat.
Although therefore the central part is slippery, the two side bands, slightly rougher than the central body, guarantee excellent grip, allowing the user to make the best use of the peripheral. It can also be noted a rather refined and sinusoidal shape, excellent for guarantee excellent ergonomics and not to tire the user during long sessions of use.
On the left side we also find the two side buttons with which it is equipped. The mouse then looks like a peripheral suitable for right-handed people only, limiting its catchment area. In addition to compatibility with Aura Sync which allows to standardize the lighting with that of the other peripherals equipped with the same technology, it is possible to configure various profiles according to our needs.
In each single profile it will be possible to configure the various polling frequencies, with a range dai 125 Hz to 1000 Hz, for high responsiveness and smooth gaming experiences. Furthermore, we will be able to modify the various levels of the PPE which will be interchangeable with the appropriate central keys. To complete it all, we will also find the customization of the key response times, from 32 to 12 milliseconds and the snap function.
This particular function allows you to “manage the trajectory” of the pointer. In fact, when it is active it will be unlikely that there will be smudges at the graphic level. Obviously this function can be useful if you are doing precision work such as drawing a straight line. However, in first person shooters it will be counterproductive and you will risk seeing your aim compromised.
The customization, however, also comes on the various keys present. These in fact, through Armory Crate, can be customized according to your choices, allowing you to set a profile suitable for your every need. The only one that cannot be changed obviously is the left button, but you can still change every single aspect, including the scroll of the wheel. Although therefore it can be extensively customized, the availability of only seven keys is a significant limiter, especially for slightly more complex games where you want to have every command at your fingertips.

A paragraph of merit also goes to the ASUS TUF Gaming P3 mouse pad. With a size of 280 x 350 x 2 mm the pad guarantees a wide support base on which to slide our mouse. From the first touch you can perceive a sense of reliability and resistance of the same. The smooth cloth surface allows a accurate tracking and unmatched smoothness of movement.
We also tested the mouse pad with the Razer Basilisk V2 and immediately noticed an increase in tracking accuracy. The anti-chafing seams along the edges they then give that extra touch of resistance that makes the pad more durable over time. In the lower part we find one instead non-slip rubber layer, for a better adherence to the desk. In fact, moving the mat will be quite difficult with the usual movements.
In short, a mouse pad to which nothing can be complained and which allows a slight, albeit substantial, increase in mouse performance.
