PlayStation’s new mobile controller is similar in appearance to the DualShock 4 and consists of grips, echoing the traditional aesthetic of classic console controllers.
Is the new PlayStation mobile controller coming?
As reported by the gizchina portal, PlayStation is about to launch a new controller for mobile. The news comes after Sony Interactive Entertainment filed a patent for a new mobile device accessory last week. The new controller would be similar in appearance to the DualShock 4 and would consist of handles, echoing the traditional aesthetic of classic console controllers.
PS4 and PS5 controllers are currently compatible, thanks to Bluetooth technology, to smartphones. However the accessory in question appears to be something totally different, which could physically integrate mobile devices. In short, a mobile that becomes a sort of Nintendo, with PlayStation technology. This is nothing that doesn’t already exist in the tech world (just think of the many Razer controllers of this type). However, this is a first for the Sony brand.
The new device would also demonstrate PlayStation’s interest in the smartphone video game market. A new controller would be unlikely to launch without some dedicated titles. They are just rumors, but gizchina believes that you play like God of Wars e Uncharted they may arrive for mobile very soon.
