In 2017, Honda innovated by attacking a new segment, that of “adventure” scooters, with the X-ADV, and for 2022 the Japanese manufacturer update its range by adding theADV350, a more urban and mid-engined variant and also less expensive.
While the Asian markets already had the pleasure of being able to drive an ADV150 last year, the 350 version officially arrives in Europe. The HD resumes thus the all-terrain aesthetic connotation of the older brother with its angular lines and its double LED headlight.
But unlike the 750cc model (the X-ADV), the 350 separates from its X and therefore on the part of its ability to evolve into a maxi-scooter also designed for off-road use. In fact, if the look is decidedly “off-road”, the scooter is above all cut out for the city, even if it should allow trips that are not too demanding on unpaved roads.
The ADV350 rests on a tubular steel frame combined with a 37mm inverted fork that offers 125mm of travel with a 26.5 ° caster angle and 90mm drag. The rear suspension is ensured by two progressive link shock absorbers fixed to the aluminum swingarm that guarantee a deflection of 130 mm. The fixed wheelbase is 1.50 mm and the weight when fully loaded is 186 kg.
The 15-inch front and 14-inch X-shaped 6-spoke wheels they are equipped with 120 / 70-15 and 140 / 70-14 mixed profile tubeless tires. Braking is provided by a single 256mm front and 240mm rear disc with dual channel ABS and emergency brake warning function.
Honda ADV350 borrows the engine from the Forza 350
Honda wasted no time developing a new engine for its AD 350 and to tell the truth it had no reason to do so. In fact, we find the single cylinder eSP+ da 330 cm3 which already equips the Forza 350 scooter. The advertised performance remains identical, with an output of 29.2 HP and a torque of 31.5 Nm. Associated with a torque control adjustable on two levels, Honda declares a consumption of 3.4 l / 100 km, which, given the 11.5 liters that the tank can accommodate, should easily reach up to 340 km of autonomy.
The ADV 350 also benefits from numerous features designed for comfort and convenience. Among these stands out the windshield adjustable in 4 positions between 133 mm of maximum travel, a 48-liter capacity saddle pad to store up to two full-face helmets and a USB socket. There is also a storage compartment on the left side, an LCD display that integrates voice control for smartphones and the “Smart Key” keyless start.
In the accessories department there are also top cases, luggage racks, heated grips and scooter covers. Honda ADV350 is available in three colors Silver, Matte Grey e Matte Red. The scooter is announced for the current month, but its price has not yet been confirmed but should be around 6,300 euros, or about 400 euros more than the Forza 350.
