From this week it is possible to “chat” with Michelangelo’s David. The unusual initiative was launched by the Accademia Gallery and aims to make the most famous works in the world even more accessible. The project is based on a particular artificial intelligence which, through the chat available on the institute’s website, will allow the user to communicate with Michelangelo’s David and discover all the secrets of the work.
How to chat with Michelangelo’s David
The possibility to chat with Michelangelo’s David is available through the site of the Accademia Gallery who launched this particular initiative to bring works of art closer to users. Through the portal a real web chat will be activated which will allow users to ask questions to David who will respond promptly, in a textual and, hopefully, precise way.
At the base of the project is Artificial Intelligence
It will be theartificial intelligence to manage, independently, user questions by processing the answers and retrieving the requested information. It is about un chatbot developed from an idea of Cecilie Hollberg, director of the Galleria dell’Accademia in Florence. The development took place using the tools made available by Querlo, an American company, based in New York, specialized in the production of AI-based technology solutions. Over time, the David in chatbot version will improve and will be able to answer, with ever greater precision, users’ questions.
