The popular Nintendo 64 platformer Banjo-Kazooie arrives on the new Nintendo Switch online service
The great classic of Rare, Banjo-Kazooie, originally released on the Nintendo 64, is about to arrive on the new Nintendo Switch online service. Starting tomorrow, January 20, subscribers to Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack, the service that with a higher price than the normal subscription also offers titles for Nintendo 64 e Sega Mega Drive, can have fun with the historical platform. The addition of Banjo-Kazooie had already been announced along with a series of great classics that will arrive in the coming months on Nintendo’s new online service.
Banjo-Kazooie joins the Nintendo Switch Online titles
Banjo-Kazooie is just the latest title to join the Nintendo Switch Online add-on package, which already offers several great classics for both the Nintendo 64 and Sega Mega Drive. Rare’s 3D platformer has as protagonists Banjo and Kazooie, who will have to save Banjo’s sister, Tooty, who is kidnapped by the evil Gruntilda. As in all platformers, in each level there will be several collectibles to collect to unlock new skills and even new levels, up to the final battle. The title is most famous for its humor and solid gameplay, which at the time of its release in 1998 won many fans.
Those who missed Banjo-Kazooie in the past or those who want to replay it can now thanks to the add-on package of Nintendo Switch Online, which arrived late last year. This additional package costs € 39.99 in the basic version and € 69.99 in the family format which allows you to connect up to 8 accounts. Subscribers will be able to access a catalog of Nintendo 64 titles, including great classics like Super Mario 64 and Zelda: Ocarina of Time, and Sega Mega Drive, with titles like Altered Beast and Sonic. Additionally, subscribers will also receive access to the Animal Crossing: New Horizons. Many other titles from the two historic consoles will be added in the coming months.
