Finally there is an official date: “The Fair of Illusions – Nightmare Alley” on Disney + from today, March 16, 2022. The new acclaimed work by director Guillermo del Toro is available in the Disney + streaming catalog. The film was released in Italian cinemas starting from January 27, 2022 and from today we can watch it comfortably from home!
After receiving well four Oscar nominations and have won several awards important, “Fair of Illusions – Nightmare Alley is on Disney +! The new work of William of the Bull it has certainly won an important place in the Disney + streaming catalog. From now, 16 March 2022, we can witness this mysterious tale made of psychological games and a rather gloomy atmosphere.
From Luna Park to visionary skills
Among the protagonists of this intriguing story, we meet the actor Bradley Cooper as the character Stanton Carlisle. He is a former employee of a carnival who decides to become a big star of the New York nightclubs. His communication and illusion skills will be able to amaze and even deceive everyone, pretending to be an excellent seer. He will really know Stanton reading people’s mindsor is it a series of well-studied “tricks” aided by great communication skills?
Its goal, however, will become increasingly clear. Being able to deceive the psychiatrist Lilith Ritterplayed by Cate Blanchett. Lilith will not be entirely convinced that Stanton is really a very good seer, so she will focus her work on the success of a definitive unmasking.
We are in the 1940s, in New York. Stanton is certainly a character full of skill, but not exactly lucky. He will be inspired in the very place where he worked, al Luna park. There she will approach the very good clairvoyant Zeena and her husband, a former mentalistplayed by the actress Toni Collette and David Strathairn. Thanks to the new knowledge that he will learn, he will decide to undertake this path linked to illusion, with the intent of defrauding the rich elite of New York society. The loyal one will accompany him in this charismatic undertaking Mollyplayed by Rooney Mara.
The Fair of Illusions – Nightmare Alley is directed by William of the Bullwith a screenplay by Guillermo del Toro and Kim Morganfilm adaptation of novel by William Lindsay Gresham. The film welcomed a large cast consisting of Bradley Cooper, Cate Blanchett, Toni Collette, Willem Dafoe, Richard Jenkins, Rooney Mara, Ron Perlman, Mary Steenburgen e David Strathairn. The film is a remake of the smash hit starring Tyrone Power in 1947.
