As we anticipated you a few days ago, Lambretta has chosen Milan Design Week to present its two latest scooter models: the G350 Special e X300.
The G-Specialshort for G350was presented for the first time all’EICMA 2019 with the name G325 Special. With the outbreak of the pandemic, its launch and development was delayed. It now arrives as a premium model that represents the spearhead of the current range V-Special.
The concept and design are from Walter Scheffrahn and Peter Beselin, both inspired by classic lines Lambretta. It is a large scooter and comes as the model with the largest displacement in the high-end classics category. It has a classic steel and monocoque structure with the famous interchangeable side panels. Do not miss the front suspension of the swingarm or the double rear shock absorber. As a novelty, it features a dual channel ABS system, full LED headlights and TFT screen.
The engine is a 330 cc single-cylinder four-stroke, liquid-cooled, four-valve cylinder head and injection signed by the German specialist. Bosch. The power is of 25,8 CV at 7,500 rpm and maximum torque is 25.5 Nm at 6,250 rpm. It has 12-inch wheels, 240mm disc brakes, and a 1,400mm wheelbase. The dry weight declared by the Lambretta is 173 kg. Its entry into production is scheduled for the end of 2022 at a price of approximately 7.200 euro.
Lambretta G350 Special and X300 united only by the designer
The Lambretta X300 arrives with a totally different design and anticipates a new series within the family of transalpine motorcycles. Its shapes were born from a concept conceived by Walter Scheffrahn (president of Lambretta). The X has taut, angular lines, polished steel sides and retains the brand’s distinctive fixed front fender.
The frame consists of a tubular steel structure supported by a half body that joins the shield and the sides. The suspension includes a classic one at the front with swingarm and at the rear with double shock absorbers. Also includes dual channel ABS, LED headlights throughout the scooter, a keyless starting system and Bosch electronic injection.
The engine is a single-cylinder 4-stroke with a displacement of 275 cc, liquid cooling and four-valve distribution. It has a maximum power of 24,8 CV at 8,250 rpm and a declared torque of 24.5 Nm at 6,250 rpm.
The 12-inch wheels come with a 220mm disc at the front and a 219mm disc at the rear. The tank has a capacity of 7 liters, the wheelbase is 1,370 mm and the Lambretta claimed to have a dry weight of 165 kg. L’X300 it will go into production at the end of the year and will have a price of approx 5.900 euro.
