Nvidia and AMD drivers for Windows 11 22H2. Finalized and now finally being tested
Windows 11 22H2 has been finalized and Microsoft (click here for more information on the company) has officially declared Build 22621 come RTM (release to producers). This is the first major OS update since its launch in October 2021. But in reality, it doesn’t include tons of new features or significant improvements.
The commercial name of Windows 11 version 22H2 is not yet known, but is now available for i testers in the release preview channel. Like any great Windows UpdateMicrosoft is also testing a new version of Microsoft’s graphics driver architecture that will likely be called WDDM 3.1.
New drivers from Nvidia and AMD for Windows 11 22H2
The new drivers compatible with WDDM 3.1 they fix several bugsinclude support for a handful of new titles, and offer support for Windows 11 22H2. Driver support is apparently vital for anyone looking to test the new OS and it also provides feedback companies to iron out any performance issues. As recently reported, Nvidia has already released WDDM 3.1 drivers and Windows 11 22H2 ready for business customers. And now the company is working on drivers GeForce consumer-centric with dedicated support for 22H2.
Additionally, Nvidia’s leaked drivers also include support for WDDM 3.1. It is worth noting that these new drivers have leaked online and are not an official release. At the moment, graphics cards made for consumers officially don’t have adequate support for Sun Valley 2. But now we can expect Nvidia to launch compatible game drivers in a few weeks. In a previous document, Microsoft confirmed that it actively accepts driver requests until at least September 5th. This means that companies have enough time to prepare their drivers for the next version of Windows 11.
I driver AMD WDDM 3.1 ready
In the preview builds of Windows 11, the AMD 31.0.12000.20010 with WDDM 3.1 support is now available. The update apparently improves the performance of the GPU AMD in the apps OpenGL, as reported by the testers. The change log for the Nvidia or AMD driver is not currently available. In addition to WDDM 3.1, the new version of Windows 11 includes a number of changes, including a new one Task Manager, features for Windows such as the taskbar and the Start menu. In short, general improvements, faster animations, improvements to the context menu, a new default Media Player and much more.
