The return of Disney + Day is approaching: the big event will be held on September 8 and will involve many highly anticipated titles
One of the most anticipated moments of the year is about to return. Disney + Day will be staged on 8 September, the highly anticipated event proposed by the streaming platform in which many titles will be presented. Disney + Day was a huge success last year. On November 12, 2021, the platform presented content from the caliber of Shang-Chi and the legend of the Ten Rings, the film with Dwayne Johnson and Emily Blunt Jungle Cruise and the remake of the irresistible Mom I Missed the Plane.
Also this year Disney is planning a lot of news for its viewers: let’s find out all the contents that will arrive on September 8 with Disney + Day.
Disney + Day: the return of Thor
One of the most anticipated titles is undoubtedly the fourth chapter of the adventures of the thunder god. Thor: Love and Thunder will arrive on September 8 on the streaming platform, after being released more than a month ago at the cinema. We find Chris Hemsworth together with the Guardians of the Galaxy on their interplanetary travels. On the horizon, however, for the son of Odin there is a terrible threat: Gorr the Slaughterer of Gods (Christian Bale) is exterminating the gods and soon Thor too will have to deal with him.
Alongside Chris Hemsworth we find Tessa Thompson in the role of Valkyrie, Taika Eaititi as Korg and the highly anticipated return of Natalie Portman as the unprecedented Powerful Thor. In addition to the film, the episode of Marvel Studios Assembled dedicated to the film, which will take us behind the scenes of Thor: Love and Thunder.
The Disney + Day TV Series
Space, of course, also for the TV series in Disney + Day. On September 8 we will see several news, including the fourth episode of She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, the series focused on Bruce Banner’s cousin aired in recent weeks. Two highly anticipated TV series will also make their debut. The first is Pistol, centered on the hugely popular Sex Pistol. The series is based on the book by Steve Jones and tells the story of the Sex Pistols and the revolution they brought to the world of rock and roll. The other is the original South American production unknown landcentered on a teenager who discovers a mysterious world while investigating the mysterious disappearance of his parents.
Accompanying these new series will be the behind the scenes of one of the most anticipated products of the past months. Obi-Wan Kenobi: Return of a Jedi will offer viewers a rich behind-the-scenes look at the series that saw the return of Ewan McGregor as the beloved Obi-Wan Kenobi. Finally, there is also space for two other highly anticipated series. The first is Mike and chronicles Mike Tyson’s extraordinary and controversial boxing career. The second is Cars on the RoadTV series based on the narrative universe of Cars.
The other titles
The surprises don’t end there. To complete the list of contents that we will see on September 8 with Disney + Day there are Welcome to the Club, a new The Simpsons short featuring Lisa and her discovery that being a villain might be more fun than becoming a princess. It also arrives on Disney + Pinocchiolive action reinterpretation of the famous Disney classic directed by Robert Zemeckis.
Finally, to complete the list, there is the docu-series created by Brie Larson Growing Upwhich deals with ten stories of adolescent growth, Extreme adventures with Bertie Gregoryin which the National Geographic explorer will undertake fascinating and mysterious journeys around the world and Wedding Season, a romantic comedy with a touch of crime.
