Acer held his first Acer Green Day, a digital event in which to tell the progress of the company in the field of sustainability. And during which the company also presented the new one Acer Chromebook Vero 514which is part of Acer’s ever-expanding eco-friendly line.

Reducing one’s climate impact is increasingly important and urgent. According to the Thomson Reuters Foundation, we will need to redouble our efforts in 20222 to keep global warming below the 1.5 ° C increase.
Acer since 2008 has introduced the CDP Supply Chain, with the aim of reporting emissions along the entire supply chain. Since 2013 he has been making packaging with recycled materials and in 2017 it launched Project Humanityto spread the culture of sustainability.
It also introduced the program in 2021 Earthion, extended environmental initiatives to partners and suppliers. Focusing above all on energy consumption and production materials, as well as in logistics management. Because every step of the production chain counts.
Since last year it has also presented the line Acer Vero, products made with ecological and recycled materials, designed to last longer. The new Acer Chromebook Vero 514 is added to the list. It has a composite packaging 80-85% from recycled paper, and even inside the bags are made of paper and not plastic.
In addition, the display and keyboard are in 100% recycled PET (polyethylene terephthalate). The packaging is also 100% recyclable and you can also use it as a stand for your notebook, a smart and economical solution.
Now Acer continues on this path with various initiatives, from the reduction of plastic to thesourcing 100% from renewable energy sources by 2035. As of 2020, all Acer offices use renewable energy, as well as 45% of the total energy used by the company.
