On 12 September 2022, in Rome, after a warm welcome at the world premiere of the film on Saturday 10 September at the 47th edition of the Toronto International Film Festival, with a long standing ovation and unanimous enthusiasm from critics, Leone Film Group and Rai Cinema are pleased to present the Italian trailer of the film: the Fabelmans.
The highly anticipated new film by four-time Oscar winner Steven Spielberg, already defined by the NY Post: “the best movie of the year”.
Plot of the film: The Fabelmans
The film directed by Steven Spielberg, is a semi-autobiographical story, based on the childhood of the director, in particular it is inspired by the period in Arizona. The film deals with the story of Sam Fabelman, a boy who grew up in Arizona, in the post-war period, who, thanks to his mother’s love for cinema, is also passionate about it.
But one day the boy discovers a shocking family secret, and he takes refuge in the magic of cinema, which with its saving power can help him see the truth.

In the role of the young aspiring director (Sammy Fabelman) we have Gabriel LaBelle, actor who has already played several roles such as: The Predator, American Gigolo, the series), followed by Mitzi the boy’s mother played by Michelle Williams, already nominated for an Oscar 4 times. And then again Paul Dano, father of Sammy (Burt).
Seth Rogen, who plays Bennie Loewy, Burt’s best friend and honorary uncle of Burt’s children. While for the Oscar nominee we have Judd Hirsch, who plays Boris, Mitzi’s uncle.
Direction and production of the film: The Fabelmans
Directed by Steven Spielberg, The Fabelmans, the film was written by Steven Spielberg himself and Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Tony Kushner, the director’s longtime collaborator and Oscar nominee for his Lincoln and Munich screenplays.
For the production of the film instead we have Kristie Macosko Krieger, who has already produced: West Side Story, and The Post, Carla Raij, Josh McLaglen, and again Steven Spielberg and Tony Kushner.
Music, costumes and editing of the film: The Fabelmans
The music is by five-time Oscar winner John Williams, while the costumes are by Mark Bridges. While the production designer is Rick Carter, two-time Oscar winner. As for the editing we have Michael Khan ACE and Sarah Broshar, three times Oscar winner. The film’s director of photography is Janusz Kaminski, two-time Oscar winner.
