Big news coming from Apple. Apparently, the Cupertino company is ready to revolutionize the naming of the iPhone 15replacing the “Pro Max” with the new “Ultra“. This is the anticipation released by Mark Gurmanwhich foresees major changes coming with the new iPhone series, including the move toUSB-C. So let’s find out more about the iPhone 15 Ultra.
iPhone 15 Ultra: so Apple will replace the Pro Max
It has been rumored for a while that Apple is intending to introduce the name “Ultra” in its line of iPhone, and this does not surprise us at all. In fact, at the very beginning of the month, the company launched its first Apple Watch Ultra, and added the “Ultra” specification to its M1 chip – now known as the M1 Ultra -. Therefore, it would not be surprising if Apple launched an iPhone under the new name on the market.
On the other hand, although the iPhone 14 has been around for a few weeks, the first rumors about Apple’s future iPhone series are already beginning to circulate on the Net. Ross Youngfor example, has already stated that the Dynamic Island it could be standard on all iPhone 15 models, and not just the Pro and Pro Max. And that’s not all. For some time now, in fact, it has been rumored that Apple is ready to release the new series with USB-C in lightning port replacement. News worthy of an Ultra model, let’s face it.
What is still not clear, however, is the real intention of the Cupertino company. According to some, it is likely that Apple is trying to create a distinction between the specifications of the Pro models and those of the Ultra, perhaps with the intention of getting rid of the Max brand. But this is only a hypothesis. If we really have an iPhone 15 Ultra, we will only know in the coming months.
