Apple intends to invest more and more in the AppStore advertising as an additional source of revenue growth. To optimize the advertising mechanisms of its store, the Cupertino house has chosen to “Pause” advertisements promoting gambling-related apps. Here are all the details on the matter.
Apple will not advertise gambling apps on the AppStore
The choice is linked to various factors and also to the complaints of consumers and associations regarding the abundance of advertisements related to this type of app. LApple’s decision shouldn’t be final. In fact, in the future the company will take a clear position on the issue.
In the meantime, however, advertisements for apps that promote gambling on the AppStore are suspended. In addition to gambling, other categories of apps are also unable to access advertising, at least for now. The full list, however, was not disclosed.
