After the news of Henry Cavill’s departure from The Witcher, many fans have imagined what Liam Hemsworth will be like as Geralt, but the result does not convince them
The Witcher experienced a real earthquake with the news of Henry Cavill’s farewell, ready to return to wearing the Superman cape. In place of him, starting from the fourth season the role of Geralt Di Rivia will be taken by Liam Hemsworth: a choice that, however, does not make fans happy. Cavill’s farewell was met with a lot of criticism, with viewers disappointed by the defection of the leading actor, hitherto very convincing in the role of the witcher. Dismissed the disappointment, however, the fans tried to imagine what Thor’s brother will be like in the role of Geralt, but the result was far from convincing.

Several deepfake videos and concept art started to circulate on the web, showing Liam Hemsworth as Geralt of Rivia. Especially on the famous Reddit forum, a heated discussion has arisen, with most of the fans admitting that they are not convinced by the choice of Netflix. Some have tried to propose alternatives, such as Luke Evans e Mads Mikkelsenbut clearly they will hardly be able to move anything.
Same goes for the petition launched to convince Cavill to return to the role, also because by now the fracture has occurred and it will be difficult to heal. The actor gave his green light to Liam Hemsworth, but evidently that wasn’t enough to convince fans. Netflix will have to do its best to convince fans of the goodness of their choice, certainly in this sense it will be interesting to see the first images of the new Geralt of Rivia, so as to understand the reactions of the fans.
