Offered in three models of 750, 850 and 1000 watts, Dark Power 13 replaces its predecessor “Dark Power 12” in all respects. All models offer full ATX 3.0 compatibility for new generation video cards. Dark Power 13 includes full support for the standard ATX 3.0, which complies with the power specification defined by PCI Express 5.0. Compared to the ATX 2.X standard, the ATX 3.0 standard defines clear target values: in particular, the PCIe connection for the graphics card allows load variations of up to three times the power consumption. Dark Power 13 is designed to handle these heavy loads with ease. ATX 3.0 power supplies with 450 watts or more also require a new 12VHPWR connector, which is capable of delivering significantly more power. All Dark Power 13 models support up to 600 watts of power on the 12VHPWR connector, while still offering four “traditional” 6+2 PCIe connectors for full compatibility with graphics cards.
