The new ones Samsung Galaxy S23 they have just been officially presented and are now preparing for their market debut. Among the main novelties of the new range of smartphones of the Korean house we find the SoC Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. The Qualcomm chip is mounted on all S23s, regardless of the marketing market, without variants with Exynos chips. Samsung, thanks to an agreement with Qualcomm, can count on ua custom version of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2.

According to the first official details that emerged, the Qualcomm SoC mounted by the new S23 can count on a maximum clock of 3.36 GHz, increased by 0.16 GHz over the standard version of the SoC. The Adreno 740 GPU is also overclocked with a maximum frequency of 719 MHz (+39 MHz more than the basic version).
Note that the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 “For Galaxy” as called by Samsung also features un better ISP than the standard version of the SoC which should ensure better performance in image processing. Furthermore, thanks to the new ISP, the Samsung Galaxy S23 will be the first Android smartphones to be able to capture video in 4K at 60 fps with Super HDR using both the front and rear cameras.
The first tests will tell us what the true capabilities of the new SoC made by Qualcomm for Samsung are. More updates will come soon.
