Filming has begun on A Quiet Place: Day One, the prequel to the horror saga which is about to complete a trilogy
Filming has officially begun on A Quiet Place: Day One – prequel to the horror saga directed by and starring John Krasinski with his wife, Emily Blunt. This was announced by the actor himself, present on the set for the first day of work.
While he is not actively involved in the prequel project, Krasinski was still keen to participate in the first day of shooting, to wish the cast and crew the best of luck and to pass the baton to the director of the new film. The start of filming on A Quiet Place: Day One
According to the first rumors, the prequel to A Quiet Place should tell the origins of the alien invasion that has decimated the world’s population in the first two chapters of the saga. To give life to the prequel there will be a cast formed – at the moment – by Lupita Nyong’o, Alex Wolff e Joseph Quinn. All these actors have already had experience with horror cinema in the past having starred, respectively, in Us (Us) by Jordan Peele and in Hereditary – The Roots of Evil by Ari Aster and Old di M. Night Shyamalanas well as in the fourth season of Stranger Things.
Michael Sarnoski will instead direct the film, in addition to being the screenwriter. The director made his debut behind the camera with Pig – Rob’s plan, which also marked his first collaboration with Alex Wolff. John Krasinski, who wrote and directed the first two chapters of the saga – A Quiet Place and A Quiet Place II – is currently working on a franchise sequel, the details of which are not known at the moment. However, it is likely that Emily Blunt, Millicent Simmonds and Noah Jupe will return to the cast. A Quiet Place: Day One is expected to hit theaters on March 8, 2024.
