The OnePlus 11 has all the credentials to be one of the best Android smartphones currently the most advanced and complete thanks to the use of a second generation Snapdragon 8 processor. It is the most efficient processor, capable of processing a greater number of functions while managing to optimize the expenditure of energy and therefore the use of the battery.

Design

With the OnePlus 11 5G returns all the style of OnePlus made even stronger by a renewed collaboration with Hasselblad, the Swedish company specializing in cameras and cameras. In this regard, it stands out, once again, the camera sector that abandons the square shape of the OnePlus 10 by opting for a large circular porthole which contains the three lenses and the flash. The section is slightly raised compared to the smartphone and follows the colors flanked by a shiny section in shiny metal.

The back of the smartphone features a satin surface, very pleasant to the touch that does not allow any fingerprints to remain (thanks OnePlus!) while only the central company logo maintains a translucent effect. On the front we find a 6.7″ Super Fluid AMOLED display featuring a circular notch, top left, for the front camera. On the sides we have the power button, volume management and a grip to switch from silent mode, to vibration only and audio. On the bottom we find the entrance for the Type C recharge, the audio output and the drawer for the Sim cards (Dual-Sim nano).

In general, the smartphone looks excellent with sinuous and soft curves that give a great sense of solidity, also given by the excellent materials used by OnePlus.

Technology

OnePlus 11 review 2

Compared to the previous model, the tech innovations introduced in the OnePlus 11 5G do not seem shocking. the big news lies in the presence of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 Qualcomm SM8550 processor able to make any type of function more fluid and efficient. Combined with the new Adreno GPU, delivers up to 25% faster performance and up to 45% more battery-efficient performance.

In support of all this we have a Expandable 12GB RAM (at the expense of internal memory) capable of supporting any function. Also, the smartphone uses the RAM-Vita, a machine learning technology which accelerates each level of RAM allocation freeing it from certain activities that can weigh down the smartphone or consume excessive resources. This also ensures better function of AI-powered software such as the camera.

It all concludes alarge 5000mAh battery now standard of the best OnePlus smartphones, which also exploits the Supervooc+ fast charging at 100W capable of recharging the smartphone from 0 to 100 in about 25 minutes. For battery health and longer life, in addition to the processor performance we have seen, the processor also takes care of it Battery Health Engine. This process actively works to extend battery life and prevent damage from frequent recharging.

Camera compartment

As anticipated, Hasselblad’s collaboration on the camera is repeated and this time offers us a triple lens with a 50 megapixel main camera, a 48 megapixel ultra-wide camera and a third lens specifically for portraits with 32 megapixels. The front camera for selfies is 16 megapixels.

The historic collaboration with Hasselblad and OnePlus returns to redefine the standard of camera quality, this time focusing on natural colours and bring them back, in the best way in mobile photography. In fact, we find an improvement in the calibration of the natural color which returns excellent nuances and also an excellent rendering of the darks. The prime lens also allows you to shoot brighter and sharper images even in low light

Video side we have the AI support with Highlight Video Mode to capture videos in HDR quality of excellent quality also, even for videos, in case of low light. The video capture module uses the Sony IMX890 sensor DOL-HDR technology to return excellent quality.

Our test of the OnePlus 11 5G: the tough test, passed

To carry out this review, we tested the new Oneplus 11 5G for about two weeks, during which it joined our main smartphone.

The first thing to reiterate is OnePlus’ incredible attention to detail and design. The previous model had already bewitched us and the OnePlus 11 wants to follow in its wake but bringing something new. To the touch, the smartphone is pleasant and solid and the all black color and the large camera porthole make it pleasant to look at.

Also nicelarge 6.7″ display with 120Hz refresh rate capable of returning bright colors and excellent brightness. This supports the photos that we are going to take, which are really clear and satisfying, although the quality does not differ particularly from the last generation. Have they currently reached the maximum available?

On the other hand, the performance of the second generation Snapdragon 8 processor was excellent, which allowed us to work, surf online and between apps and play without any kind of slowdown. On the point of gaming, welcome return of HyperBoost Gaming Engineable to better manage the yield.

The Oneplus 11 5G review in a nutshell

OnePlus 11 review

Il OnePlus 11 5G is a great high-end smartphone which offers everything you would expect from a smartphone of this category and more. The novelties of the new processor are intriguing and satisfying but do not improve the already excellent OnePlus 10 by much.

It is certainly a smartphone to buy if you want to enjoy the improvements of the latest technologies in case you have an older smartphone but the leap forward compared to the previous generation does not justify a change.
