Through a press release, Blizzard announced the Overwatch 2 Valentine’s event: new items, new challenges and… a special opportunity to conquer Genji or Mercy!
The good success that Overwatch 2 is receiving does not subside (here you find our non-review!), Just as the updates and new features that Blizzard is ringing to expand it more than the first chapter do not subside. And today is February 14… and it’s Valentine’s time for the Blizzard title too! We celebrate with a brand new event, Ultra Valentino. Here comes a new Arcade Brawl, new cosmetic items via special event challenges, and a new dating simulator adventure to conquer Genji or Mercy! Let’s see all the details together.
LoverWatch
For the first time ever, a new interactive experience has been introduced to the Overwatch universe. The developers present LoverWatch: Love never dies! LoverWatch is a short, non-canonical dating simulator where you can follow Genji or Mercy to romantic places based on some of Overwatch’s favorite maps. It will be possible to obtain exclusive titles to show all the love for your significant other, all the while enjoying various one-liners, easter eggs and even a secret ending based on how you will spend time with your soulmate!
You can discover LoverWatch today and get in-game rewards like Hanzo’s Kiss of Cupid highlight and cute titles, which will be automatically added to your accounts in a future patch. You can also purchase the new highlight as part of an in-game shop bundle, but if you get it prior to purchase, a discount will apply to the bundle. LoverWatch is available until February 28 at LoverWatch.gg and is optimized for most desktop browsers. The experience is not supported in most non-desktop browsers or mobile devices.
A new brawl! | Overwatch 2 Valentine’s Day Event is Coming!
The fight for love is coming to PvP with a new brawl, Love for Geometry This Team Deathmatch brawl, pitting teams of four Hanzo Cupids against each other to determine the ultimate love team! The best part is definitely the return of Hanzo’s original ability, Treacherous Arrow! Treacherous Arrow bounces, splits, and deflects in different directions. His return in this joyous limited-time game mode is the best way for players to experience all of Hanzo’s Love of Geometry! There is also a surprise waiting for users by activating Hanzo’s Ultra, Dragon Onslaught, which they will definitely love!
Hanzo Cupid! | Overwatch 2 Valentine’s Day Event is Coming!
During this limited-time event, the Hanzo Cupid Legendary skin can be obtained in the shop! Inspired by the various representations of Cupid, the Overwatch 2 art team found it fun to balance romance, divinity, beauty, and of course… the heroic themes, in making the model. Hanz Cupid’s various unique touches include little hearts in his quiver and shoes, fluttering wings as he leaps through the air, heart-filled VFX for every arrow he fires, and loads of fun sound effects! The developers are thrilled to be able to hand this widely acclaimed model to male and female gamers!
The Ultra Valentino event starts today! You can get a cupid player icon and an audio joke for Junkrat when you power up! New challenges have also been introduced for the occasion, which can be completed with each hero in any game mode to get sprays, audio jokes, emotes and much more. By completing all six challenges you will receive the epic model Lúcio Bitrate!
